De su trabajo podemos inferir que lo que transforma un disparo en una « imagen » para Armando, está dado por las pausas, por las esperas, por los silencios.... sin los cuales es imposible no solo la « imagen » sino la música misma. Por eso decimos que su fotografía se inscribe como una segunda resistencia: la resistencia a la espectacularización. No vemos los « grandes momentos » de la música, así como no vemos la fotografía del instante decisivo, especie de epifania mítica que persiguieron generaciones de fotográfos.

From his work, we can infer that what transforms a shot into an "image" for Armando is given by the pauses, by the waits, by the silences .... without which it is impossible not only the "image" but the music itself. That is why we say that his photography is inscribed as a second resistance: the resistance to spectacularization. We do not see the "great moments" of music, just as we do not see the photograph of the decisive instant, a kind of mythical epiphany that generations of photographers have pursued.
